I've had a fab xmas so far. We have to stay put in Oslo because my mum cannot travel anywhere in her condition and she's certainly not allowed to fly. So on 'lillejulaften' (23rd Dec) grandma Harriet, granddad Richard, uncle Guy, aunt Sharon and little cousin Michael (4 months) arrived at our place to spend xmas here with us. Xmas eve was spent the traditional Norwegian way, with 'pinnekjøtt' (lamb) for dinner, which everyone (except daddy and I) enjoyed quite a lot. It was a success allthough this was the first time my mum had ever prepared it. We had cloudberry cream for dessert and afterwards opening of the gifts in the evening. I was allowed to stay up later than usual for this. I was dressed in my gorgeous silk dress again and I was just as proud as the first time I wore it for grandma's birthday.
I received so very many excellent gifts, toys, clothes books...etc. I was particularly thrilled about the 'Jack in the box' toy from my parents plus a knitted hat from grandma Harriet that I kept putting on my own head as well as my new 'learn how to dress' doll's head. I had also secretely made a gift for my parents in kindergarden - four framed colourful drawings! Needless to say, this was the gift that my mum loved the most!
This was cousin Michael's first xmas, and he seemed more interested in trying to eat his gifts than anything else :-)
