16/8 - 21/8: London trip / Michael's first birthday.
 | It was cousin Michael's 1st birthday on the 20th and we all went over to London for his party this weekend. On Friday we went to Hamley's to buy Michael a present, but while we were there, Abi and I got gifts as well. I got a Teletubbies colouring-in-set (sort of) and Abi got a learning puppy. Hamley's was fun but daddy says it's not as good as it used to be when he was a kid (which is what people tend to say when they're getting old ;) Anyway, I think Abi enjoyed her first ever trip to the West End. Later that day I had my first professional haircut at a children's shop called Igloo by where my grandparents live. The hairdresser was obviously very expereinced in how to have 2 year olds sit still, cause she managed to divert my attention to some fun toys while she cut my hair. I was occupied with these until she started blow drying it...I kept turning around to look at myself in the mirror. I was so proud! My hair was blow-dried totally straight, a very unusual yet elegant look for me!
On Saturday we went with grandma, grandpa, uncle Guy, aunt Sharon, cousin Michael and Sharon's parents Stri and Alan to New World in Chinatown. I didn't like any of the food though except the rice.
On Sunday Michael had a big party at grandma and grandpa's house. You can read more about that in his
diary and see his photos

Sadly mummy and Abi got a stomach bug Sunday night, and poor Abi kept throwing up for days and nearly all she could "eat" was apple juice and a tiny amount of porridge. Mummy was feeling weak for days too but not as bad as Abi. I didn't get ill at all and daddy only felt ill for 1 day, which is lucky!
