Today was the day for my first parade-participance. It's St Lucia today, which is celebrated in honour of the christian saint with the same name. Well, basically it's just an excuse for kids to dress up in cute white shirts/dresses and wear tinsel in their hair. We started the parade at 3 PM and walked out to the playground, the older kids first and then "Knøttene" (my unit) at the end. Lots of parents, including mummy and daddy, were there to watch. During our little walk we were singing the St Lucia song. I also got a stick with a little star on the end, and at first I was confused about the whole thing, but then I discovered daddy and started waving the stick and saying "pappa, pappa". Afterwards everyone got lussekatter (buns), christmas cookies and drinks.
