Time to leave Tahoe and head back to Hillsborough. We got up early and managed to leave by 9. My parents had still not satisfied their shopping-need so we stopped at Vacaville again after we had the grand-slam breakfast at Denny's (a 'must' if you're ever in the States!) We decided to take a de-tour to see the giant redwood trees at Muir Woods just north of San Francisco. These trees are exceedingly old and gigantic...up to 1000 years old and 80 metres tall! We also saw an unusual looking slug called the banana slug - because it actually does look like a little banana!
