Xmas 2008
Happy new year! Xmas this year was spent in Dinan. We flew to Paris and drove to Dinan on Dec 19th. The next day it was daddy's birthday, so grandma cooked us a lovely meal and daddy got to open his presents. In the evening we went for a walk through Dinan's centre to admire the xmas lights. I even saw Santa Claus! He was handing out sweets, but I was very sceptical and scared though.
The next couple of days we spent preparing for xmas. We made a trip to the woods to pick some mistletoe and grandma found some pine cones and greeneries to make her decorations from. We also decorated the tree of course, even with little chocolates in cute wrapping. Abi soon found them though (she can sniff them from far away!), so they needed to be re-hung, much further up the tree!
On Dec 23rd, uncle Guy, aunt Sharon and cousins Michael and Ethan arrived. They had taken a train and ferry to get there.
The rest of xmas was spent eating lovely food, including some very scary crabs that I wouldn't come anywhere near. They were still alive when grandma & grandpa came back from the shop! Daddy kept telling me that if I wasn't a good girl, I would need to spend time in the garage with the crabs, and that tactic certainly worked. Abi was scared too, but the weird thing was that by New year's eve, when they had brought back live lobsters, we had somehow been transformed into being very keen to talk to and cuddle them.
We received some fab gifts, but the most popular, at least in my book, was Michael's karaoke machine. Poor Michael didn't get to play with it as much as I'm sure he'd wanted to since I was playing with it all the time. Instead he got to borrow the digital camera that I got.
On Boxing day we drove for about an hr to see Manny and Damien. Manny served us roast beef, and there was plenty of sweets and cakes afterwards.
We also made it to a few restaurants for lunch for the usual galettes and dropped by the St Malo aquarium. Abi and I were extatic to see all the colourful fish. Here you can see all the Xmas 2008 photos
