1/5/2006 - A weekend with grandma & grandpa
Grandma and grandpa flew over on Friday to take part in the celebrations. They had brought loads of excellent gifts for me from them and uncle Guy and aunt Sharon; a hammer bench, a clock that sang nursery rhymes, a tea set, a paddling pool for the garden...etc.. I even got a second birthday cake, allthough not quite as fancy as my original cake.

Sunday we went for a drive to Kongsberg and ended up at Knutehytta (a large wooden cottage with a very cozy cafe inside) in the mountains above the city. The road up there was at times very steep and windy, and when we were approaching the top, the fog set in. We made it there 10 minutes before they closed and just had time for some hot chocolate before we had to leave again.
On Monday (today) we all went to the playground which was a new experience for me. It's really meant for slightly older kids, but I enjoyed myself anyway. I went in the swing with mummy and grandma helped me go on the slide. There was also a cute little boat to sit in and a bouncy thing to stand in. Check out the photos in the Playground section.
Ever since my great walking effort last Thursday, my parents have tried to make me repeat it. I did today when I let go of the table again and walked up to 4 steps. Lately I have also started to perfect my balance and stood still with nothing to grab hold of for several seconds, but it's not easy I tell you!
