As you may know, I will start kindergarden in August since I've been given a space at 'Bygården barnehage' (kindergarden) about 10 minutes from our house. We decided to give them a visit today to see what it's like there, and were greeted by their very friendly daily leader and the other staff. We got a thorough guide to all the various rooms they had there and it turns out they also have a spacious and very nice playground in the back yard. I will be joining the unit for 1-2 year-olds where we will be 9 kids in total and 3 grown-ups looking after us. They said the older kids often go for local excursions to nearby parks...etc since they're able to walk reasonably well, but the younger ones also get to go on trips every once in a while since they have a bus that can transport them on certain days. We both got a very good impression of Bygården and hope it meets our expectations.
