Today it's Abi's 1st birthday and my English family came over to celebrate with us. Grandma & grandpa arrived on Friday and Guy, Sharon, Michael and little Ethan who's only 6 weeks arrived on Saturday. This was the first time we see Ethan. He's very very adorable and makes Abi look like a giant.
We had a party for Abi with many of Abi's friends around yesterday. She was quite scared at first when all these people 'invaded' the house, but soon caught on and was vey extatic about the birthday cards she got, even more so than with her gifts. Earlier that day Michael and I had a go on my 'Snow Tiger' sledge out in the garden. Grandpa and uncle Guy took turns pulling us round. Unlike last year I enjoyed myself a lot, especially when falling off the sledge. So did Michael.
Today, on her actual birthday, we went to Frognerparken to have a go in the sledge again but also on the slide and the swings at the playground. The birthday girl and Ethan slept through it all whilst Michael and I had all the fun. Afterwards we had lunch at a pizza place. In the evening we had dinner and afterwards enjoying Abi's birthday cake and opening of Abi's gifts and also the xmas gifts we never got round to exchanging before xmas. I had a tendency to take possession of Abi's gifts though, so mummy and daddy had to constantly point out that this was in fact Abi's big day and her presents. I'm sure I'll get to play with them though.
