Thur 11/10/2007 - The hotel pool.
We spent last week in a little place called Calahonda on Costa del Sol, between Fuengirola and Marbella. This was supposed to be a total relaxation-holiday dominated by sunbathing and lazing round in the pool. We did however rent a car and went to Marbella, Fuengirola and Ronda. Marbella was reasonably nice. We walked along the beach promenade and there were numerous slides and playgrounds for me to stop and play at. According to daddy, Fuengirola was a real dump, but Ronda however, was very nice indeed. It's a little mountain city about 1 hr from Calahonda. We saw the famous bullring and the impressive bridge across the "Cleft of Ronda".

Our hotel was quite nice. We had a 2-bedroom apartment which meant I got my own bedroom. I slept in a single bed for the first time and it was a success, I didn't fall out once. We had a huge terrace where we spent a lot of time since it was v. practical for my parents to sunbathe on it while Abi could stay inside the flat in the shade. We also had my favourite tv channel - BBC's CBeebies, with all the familiar shows like Teletubbies, Tweenies and Balamory.
The pools were a disappointment though. The main pool didn't have a shallow end, and every time mummy or daddy took me for a swim, I just cried and cried and wanted out, unlike Abi who really enjoyed floating round in her swim-ring. I much preferred the little kiddie pool, which wasn't heated. Fortunately I didn't mind that too much. There was also a rubber playground there, where I spent quite a lot of time.
