Grandma & grandpa flew over for the weekend to meet Bartine for the first time. Bartine got lots of great gifts (just like I did when I was born), but I also got a gift, a little wooden alligator that makes funny movements and sound when I pull it along. I loved it! A lot of the time was spent admiring my baby sister of course, but on Saturday we all went out for a nice meal at 'Dinner' - a very good chezuan restaurant in the city centre. I was exceedingly well behaved there. Guess it was partially because I was busy trying to eat with a fork...having to thread those spicy mushrooms and vegetables I was handed on to it and then putting it in my mouth. Bartine slept through the whole experience.
This weekend I also (sort of) learned to drink from a regular cup (and not a magic cup). There's still a lot of spilling involved when putting it to my mouth initially, but once I understand where the liquid goes up to, I can cope quite well.
